What is a cryptogram?

A cryptogram is a block of text that has been encrypted using a "substitution cipher". In a substitution cipher, each letter is replaced with a different one.

For example:

All letters A are changed to the letter Q.
All letters B are changed to the letter R.
etc.

This mapping of letters is different for each game.

Using patterns, letter frequencies, and common sense you attempt to determine the letter for which each of the encrypted letters stands.

Application Features

The application provides several features to help you if you get stuck.

- On-Screen Navigation - Use the on-screen directional arrows to move around. Helpful if you don't have a d-pad or trackball.
- Pressing Space or Delete will clear the current letter.
- Save Game - You can save your game and come back to it if you need a break.
- Show/Hide Source - The source of the quote/text block is hidden by default. This hint will expose the source for you and hide it again to open up more screen space.
- Show Letter - When you really get stuck, this will expose the letter of your choice in the cryptogram.
- Show Puzzle - When all hope is lost, this will show you the answer to the puzzle you've been working on.
- Letter Frequency Table - Shows you the number of times a coded letter appears in the text.
- Used Letters - Shows in the keyboard display which letters are used and still available.
- Showing Duplicates - Duplicate letters are shown as italicized. So, if you enter the same letter for two different codes, Enigma will show all occurrences of that entered letter italicized.
- If you complete the puzzle without using the "Show Puzzle" option, you will be given the opportunity to email the quote to yourself or someone else.

Customization Options

Enigma can be customized to your personal tastes by choosing the Preferences menu item and selecting the appropriate options.

Color Preference

Select from different color schemes. Feel free to contact me with suggestions for more.

- Original - Reminiscent of the old green screen monitors.
- The Blues - Blue is the basis of this color scheme.
- Scarlet Letters - Deep reds make this a pleasing choice.
- Black, White, and Read All Over - A simple black and white color scheme.

Font Sizes

Select from different Font sizes. This can be very helpful on tablets where you might want the puzzle to take up more room and be easier to manage.

- Small - Useful for smaller devices.
- Medium - The original size and still the default.
- Large - Tablets will work well with this or the next size up.
- Extra-Large - Tablets will work well with this or the next size down.

Next Letter Preference

After entering a letter the focus will change based on your choice from the following options:

- Don't advance to the next letter. (Current/Default Behavior)
- Advance to the next letter.*
- Advance to the next empty letter.*
* When at the end of the puzzle, it won't wrap to the beginning.

Keyboard Preference

Select from different keyboard styles.

- Normal Keyboard - This is the traditional QWERTY keyboard.
- Gallery Keyboard - The Gallery Keyboard works by listing the letters in a gallery display such that you fling them left or right to choose the letter you want to place.

Beast Duelled is an infinite, high stress, puzzle fight game featuring all your favourite characters from that thing you played once, you think, maybe.

Created with 3 of my personal favourites in mind:-
- Fast paced, high stress Bejewelled style puzzles.
- Over the top, gory cartoon violence.
- Several hundred unlockable characters with even more to come in regular free updates.
- And a bonus forth: no micro transactions, pay walls or similar scumbaggery.

INSTRUCTIONS (short version)
- Tap 2 adjacent bullets, or drag them into each other, to swap their positions.
- Line up 3 or more of the same colour to attack.
- If you get stuck, tap your character to rearrange the board at the expense of a chunk of health.

TIPS & OTHER DETAILS
- There are sound controls at the right of the character select screen. Tap them once to mute everything, twice to play without music and thrice to reactivate all sounds.
- Tap the bullet chambers on the character select screen to switch between normal and colour blind mode. (Get wins to unlock more!)
- Defeat a character to unlock them.
- Win or lose, a new opponent will appear.
- Wins increase the difficulty.
- Loses decrease the difficulty.
- The higher the difficulty, the better the chance of facing someone you haven't unlocked yet.
- A subtle folder icon will appear on the top left of the screen when you fatality somebody you've already unlocked. Use it to return to the character select screen.
- Apart from your starters, characters appear alphabetically (disregarding "The"s) on the character select screen. Take note of your favourites, when you first beat them, if you want to find them easily later.
- With a bullet (game piece) highlighted you can tap it again to deselect it.
- Alternatively you can tap a non-adjacent bullet to highlight it instead with no penalty.
- However if you tap 2 adjacent bullets (i.e. try to make a move) and fail to match at least 3 colours in a row, your opponent will attack.
- Normally they attack when the timer reaches zero.
- The timer resets when either you or the opponent attacks.
- Bullets have no falling animation, they instantly appear in place. This is intentional to maintain the game's fast pace.
- Despite this, combos are still possible for extra damage if bullets fall into matching rows. If you see a lot of explosions, you're doing it right!
- If you get stuck, tap your character to rearrange the board at the expense of a chunk of health. (Yeah, I know but it's important!)
- You can't do this if it'll kill you.
- There's also code left in there that maps this function to the spacebar. Don't see why it wouldn't still work if you're on BlueStacks or something.
- No worries if you get a call, the game will pause when not active even if you're in the middle of a fight.

LASERBREAK is the one of most exciting and unique physics puzzle games available.

Physics Objects include:
Balls - Roll the balls, catapult them, drop them - they are the most useful object!
TNT - Ignite the explosives with the laser beam. Detonate it to blast other objects around, smash glass, knock over dominoes and more.
Portals - Otherwise known as wormholes, they teleport objects from one place to another. Use them wisely!
Magnets - Use magnets to control the path of the steel balls and hold steel crates in place.
Ice - Melt the ice to reveal other objects inside! Melt it with the laser beam.
Wood - Burn wood with the laser, opening up more paths for the balls to roll, or just for the laser beam to aim through.
Glass - Glass reflects the laser beam and also holds other objects. You can smash it or crush it with other objects such as balls or crates.
Reflective shapes - Turn the reflective triangle shapes to reflect the laser beam on different angles.
Blocks - Reflective blocks to bounce the laser beam off. Non reflective blocks you have to think your way around.
Bonus coins - Easter eggs. Find them randomly in levels, destroy them with the laser for an extra challenge.
