Why do you need it:

- For professional skills "dry fire" training

You will need:

1. This application
2. A target(s) printed on a sheet of paper
3. Any gun with a laser trainer. You can purchase it in the Internet (LaserLyte, Laser Ammo, SIRT etc) or make it yourself.
4. A smartphone or a tablet with a camera.

How does it work:

A smartphone (a tablet) is placed opposite the paper target at a distance of 1 - 5m.
The target on the screen is aligned with the actual target on the wall.
During the shooting the application detects the laser marker on a virtual target and records shots.

Capabilities:

-Set up the gameplay: the accuracy or the reaction, the number of shots in the drill, drill time, time to prepare.
- Universal round target included: Set a diameter, the minimum and maximum number of scores, the diameter of “a bulls'eye”, the diameter of the shots (caliber).
- IPSC, IDPA, USPSA and B-27 targets are available in form of in-app purchases.
- Multiple targets available (as in-app purchase) - you can set a shoot order: randomly, by target number, by any.
- Set the camera resolution, zoom.
- Using the flash (backlight target, when firing, at the end of the round).
- Adjusting the sound (the sound of the shot, the completion of a drill, the uttering aloud result and hit factor).
- Statistics of a drill: result on points, hit factor, table of shots, hitting the POI (point of impact) (horizontally and vertically deviation, the maximum diameter).
- The preservation of the target and shots photos.
- Printing a target.
- To practice with a laser sight in case of using a different color for a trainer and a sight.
- The opportunity to share the results (facebook, twitter, e-mail, etc.)

Advice

- For reliable recognition of shots in the camera's field of view should not be reflective surfaces (mirrors, polished surfaces, etc.).
- Do not use a glossy paper to print a target
- In order to recognize a target its circuit should be clearly visible on a screen. This may require the additional lighting - use the "flashlight" mode.
- In a landscape phone orientation the FPS a little bit higher.


Limitations

- On slow devices can not get enough speed data read from the camera (FPS). For reliable recognition of shots FPS in a drill mode must be more than twenty (displayed in the lower right corner). Please note that in a drill mode the FPS may be higher than in a preview mode (for a better shots recognition).
- If you do not like the app, or your device does not provide sufficient recognition rate, you can get your money back in 48 hours, according to the policy of Google.

SI-Droid Event is an app that makes it possible to arrange simple orienteering events with SportIdent without having to bring a computer for the SICard readout. Just bring your mobile phone or tablet instead plus an SI Master and you are ready to readout the results from the runners cards.

iRegatta is a tactical Regatta application for android devices, used for yachting and sailing regattas.

You can try "iRegatta" instead of "iRegatta Pro", it'll give you 4 minutes of testing at each startup, and you can then buy all the features you need as In-App purchases.

The built-in GPS unit and the unique graphical possibilities of these devices, make them ideal for such an application.

IMPORTANT: iRegatta requires internal GPS or Bluetooth/WiFi connection to NMEA data, to get the sailing data required for calculations.

iRegatta has been available for iPhone/iPad for years, and has a lot of useful features.
Now the Android version has similar features, except that NMEA instrument data also can be used with a BlueTooth connection (or a Wifi connection).

If you have a Android phone anyway, this is a cheap way to introduce you to the benefits of a GPS device, to help you leverage your regatta sailing performance.

A downside is of course the fact that most phones are not waterproof! But there are products out there, you can put your device into, to make it waterproof and still be able to operate it while sailing. In this way you can either mount it near your other instruments on your keelboat or strap it to your arm if you are sailing a dinghy.

Main View.
Here you can see your the 4 most important readouts, for instance Heading, Speed, VMG and Wind Direction.

By tapping and holding one of the 4 main readouts for 2 seconds, they become configurable. Scroll down the list to chose the information you want to display. Many of the possible readouts are only updated if you have NMEA input.
If navigating towards a waypoint, you can configure your readouts to display distance/bearing.

There is also a lift indicator, showing you if you have been lifted by a wind shift, and graphs showing the development in your speed and VMG over a configurable amount of time and a performance bar.

Wind direction.
Set your wind direction by storing your heading while sailing on upwind on starboard and port tack, or simply type it in.

Start view.
Here you have your start countdown (including sync), and you can mark your starting line and iRegatta will calculate the distance to the line and indicate the favored end of the line, if wind direction is set.

Waypoints.
Navigate to your favorite pre-stored waypoints, create a route of waypoints or create a new temporary waypoint by distance/bearing.

Statistics view.
Here you can see your location (Lat & Lon), Max speed and Trip odometer. On the left hand side there is a polar diagram. tap it and it'll increase in size. Change the wind speed to see the different polars. These polars are the base for the performance bar in the race view.


NMEA
If you choose to turn on "NMEA input via BlueTooth" in the iRegatta setting, you will be able to receive instrument data from your boat, if it's able to transmit NMEA information using BlueTooth.

Be aware that information from different instruments can be transmitted in different NMEA syntaxes. Not all NMEA syntaxes are implemented in iRegatta.

AIS
If you have an AIS receiver that transmits AIS data as NMEA sentences, an AIS radar-like display will show all vessel information received.

Using all the data that you provide the application will give you some advices about how to adjust your chassis in order to resolve any set up problem that you're suffering. Take into account the track and the weather. This is called “track bias”: no single factor in handicapping can change the complexion of a race like a track bias. If wise bettors detect any kind of bias in the racing surface, they incorporate it into their decision-making. What is track bias? Every horse has their preferred surface, whether it's turf or dirt. You want to know how your horse will perform on whatever your track is.

Handicappers must ask themselves questions about each horse. Is her last race a true representation of her ability? Is she likely to improve or regress on race day? Which horses raced against a bias last out and can be expected to offer a peak performance today? Horses, just like humans, are never 100% consistent.
One thing to consider is the size of the purse and where the horse is coming from. If the size of the purse is large, this is one classy horse – she'll probably be pretty consistent (she didn't get to the big leagues for nothing). And if she got flown in from somewhere, her owners paid a pretty penny to get her there, so they'll probably break out all the stops to see her win.

Bet with friends. There's such a thing as a "parlay bet" and it can make betting on the horses even more fun. If you're with a group, get everyone to chip in, say, $5. Then, each person picks 1 horse to show on a certain race. Place the first bet, and then if you win, place the next bet including the winnings. If you hit a streak, that $5 can add up very quickly.
Make sure the winnings (and the losses) get split evenly. Have everyone agree to a basic set of guidelines before participating in any betting. Some people may argue that they won while others lost – establish protocol before this happens.

This app provides, using weather conditions and your engine configuration, a recommendation about jetting and spark plug to use for karts with Rotax Max EVO (Senior, Minimax, Micromax, Supermax, DD2 or Junior), which use a Dellorto VHSB 34 XS carb to get the best performance.

In order to get the weather values, the application can use the GPS to obtain the position and altitude, and the network connection to get the temperature, pressure and humidity from the nearest weather station. Nevertheless, the application can run without GPS and internet connection, in this case, the user has to enter the weather data.

The application is made up of four tabs that are described next:

- Results: in this tab, the recommended main jet, needle position, air density and spark plug type values are shown. These data are calculated depending on the weather conditions and the configuration given in the other tabs. In addition, this tab lets to make a fine tuning adjustment to adapt to your concrete motor and carburetor.

- Weather: you can set the values for current temperature, altitude, pressure and humidity. The values of this screen can be manually set or can be loaded by the application reading the data from the nearest public weather station (from the GPS tab).

- Engine: you can set in this screen the information about your engine, carburator and track, that is, the FR125 engine type (Micromax, Minimax, Senior, Supermax, Junior or DD2), the model year, the spark plug brand used, the needle type, the float/pilot jet combo, the floats height, venturi (dell orto 12.5 or 8.5), oil mix ratio, airbox type (new or old model) and the track type.

- GPS: this tab allows to use the GPS to get the current position and altitude, and connect to an external service to get the weather conditions of the nearest weather station (temperature, pressure and humidity).


The application works with different measure units: inHg, mb, mmHg, hPa, atm for pressure, ºC and ºF for temperature.

The app is valid for RGMMC (Rotax Max Challenge) or SKUSA, but is not valid for Rotax Max FR125 before 2015. For them, you should install Jetting Max Kart.

We're working in new carburetion apps for other kart motors (LKE, Maxter, TKM, Vortex, WTP, etc.) and a new tech apps for Alfano / Mychron visualization. Please send us and email if you want to be notified when these tools are published.

ERRORS AND SUGGESTIONS:
Please understand that because of the variety of phones, android versions, etc. it's very hard to develop bug-free applications. If you find any bug, please, send us an email to [email protected] explaining, as detailed as you can, the error that you've detected. We'll try to fix it or give an answer as soon as possible.


PERMISSIONS:
The application needs the next permissions:
- Your location: it lets the application get the position and the altitude using the GPS to know which is the nearest weather station.
- Storage: it's used for storing the config preferences.
- Network communication: to invoke the external service which provides the current weather conditions
- Phone calls (read phone state and identity): it allows to get the system identifier in order to validate the license status of the installed application.

- Return from Twitter Settings by using the RETURN ARROW on your phone.
