The quiz games included in MTSR work this way:

1) The program ask a question, which is shown on a panel (question panel)
2) The user answers, using another panel (answer panel). If the answer is correct, a sound is played, corresponding to the question made; if not, a failure sound is played.

Simple accidentals asks natural or accidental notes. The user can choose between only sharps, only flats or both.

Key Signature mode lets the user choose one or more keys. If more than one key is chosen, every new question changes the key randomly.

In this mode, the user can choose between two question filters:
A) Diatonic: only notes belonging to the current key are asked.
B) Chromatic: any note will be asked (whether or not it belongs to current key).

For "Read Staff" game, the user can choose the type of keyboard for answering:
1) Piano keyboard (with or without note names on keys)
2) Buttons with note names.

The main difference between both keyboards lies on enharmonic notes.

Sound volume is adjustable (and muteable)

The basic way that you use SimPlates is just like pilots from those flying small Cessnas to those flying Boeing and Airbus airliners do every day. As you virtually approach an airport on your computer, bring up its corresponding plates in the SimPlates app. Use the plate as a guide in flying the approach to landing - just like a real world pilot would. SimPlates is useful for virtual pilots of many desktop flight simulation programs, including Flight Simulator (all versions including FSX, FS2004, and MS-Flight), X-Plane, and more.

While SimPlates are real-world plates, they are NOT SUITABLE FOR REAL WORLD FLIGHT OPERATIONS and MUST NOT BE USED FOR REAL WORLD FLIGHT OPERATIONS OF ANY SORT. As SimPlates is intended for flight simulation entertainment use, the plates are not kept up to date with real-world aviation changes (worldwide subscriptions for real-world current data over $2000 per year elsewhere!). However, for serious flight simulation entertainment use, the massive collection of plates represents incredible value and capability.

SimPlates includes over 70,000 real-world IFR plates, including approach plates, SIDs/STARs (Departures/Arrivals), Airport Diagrams, Approach types include ILS, VOR, VOR/DME, NDB, LLZ, SDF, GPS, TACAN, Helicopter and Visual. The taxi coach is a training and learning app from SPEZIALATLAS. It serves as preparation for the first part (the so-called local knowledge part) of the P-Schein examination. For example, if questions are asked about the limits of Seestraße, there are six possible correct answers (Beusselstr., Saatwinkler Damm, driveway A 100, Reinickendorfer Str., Louise-Schroeder-Platz, Osloer Str.). The database also contains a collection of incorrect answers (perhaps Friedrich-Olbricht-Damm, Nordufer, Markstr., Schwedenstr. Etc.). If the program has now selected the Seestraße as a question, it randomly draws some correct and some incorrect answers, five in total, which are displayed and which you must differentiate between correct and incorrect - as in the real test. Of course there are also many questions with just one correct answer (e.g. which street a certain object is on). Then there are four wrong answers - but in the app mostly different than in the previous run.

If you have sufficient knowledge of a catalog entry, you can deactivate it so that it no longer appears as a question. (But don't be too hasty: next time there will probably be other answers!) You can also filter out entire categories. If you e.g. For example, if you only want to learn streets and squares at first, simply switch off districts, districts, settlements and objects and switch them on again later. When you learn one district at a time, turn off individual districts at will and turn them on again later. You can also reactivate the deactivated individual questions with just two clicks.
